Height Calculator AI

A height calculator estimates your adult height from numbers you already know. Search results label many of them "AI", but the useful part is not the label: it is which inputs the calculator uses and whether it shows a range. This page explains what an AI height calculator can and cannot do, and what to enter here.

What you enter, and why

InputWhat it tells the calculator
Your parents' heightsYour genetic target: the biggest single clue to adult height
Your sexBoys finish about 13 cm (5 in) taller than girls on average
Your age and height nowYour percentile, and how much growing is probably left

Use measured heights if you can, without shoes, against a wall. A parent's remembered height is often a centimetre or two too generous, and that carries straight into the result.

"AI height calculator": what the label means

An AI height calculator is any tool that works out adult height automatically. Most free ones, including this one, use established statistics rather than a machine-learning model: the mid-parental formula plus a projection from CDC growth charts. Models trained on hand X-rays exist, but they need a clinical image, which a web form cannot take. If a site claims to predict height from a selfie, treat it with suspicion: a photo shows neither bone age nor your parents' genes.

For the longer comparison of tool types, see height prediction AI: how it works and how accurate it is.

How to read the result

Calculator, chart or formula?

They answer different questions. The mid-parental height calculator gives a target from parents alone. A growth chart shows where a child sits against others of the same age. This calculator combines both, so use it when you want one estimate with a range rather than two separate numbers.

Frequently asked questions

What is an AI height calculator?

A tool that estimates your adult height automatically from inputs such as your parents' heights, your age and your current height. Most free ones use statistical methods, not a trained machine-learning model. This one averages the parents' heights, projects your current height forward with CDC growth chart data, and blends the two into a range.

Is an AI height calculator accurate?

Accuracy depends on the method and your puberty timing, not on the AI label. Published target-height methods land within 8.5 cm (3.3 in) for about 95% of people (Tanner et al., 1970). A hand and wrist X-ray read by a clinician is generally more informative than any web form. The blended range here has not been checked against measured adult heights.

What do I need to use a height calculator?

Your parents' heights, your sex, your age and your current height. Parents' heights can be approximate, but measured values give a better result. No account is needed to see the result.

Can a height calculator predict height from a photo?

Not reliably. A photo cannot show bone age, your parents' genetics or where you are in puberty, which are the things that drive final height. This tool does not ask for photos.

Why does the calculator give a range instead of one number?

Because one number would be false precision. Children with identical parents and identical current height can finish several centimetres apart, mostly depending on when puberty starts.

This tool provides a statistical estimate for general information only. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. If you are concerned about your growth or your child's, speak to a paediatrician or family doctor.
